Job description
We are seeking a Senior Research Analyst to join our Pricing Excellence Team at the Four Ashes site. As part of the team, you will analyze and manage the company's commercial risk between global raw material purchases and global downstream product sales with formula-based commercial agreements. You will provide direction, advice, support, and infrastructure development for external formula sales agreements with customers and external formula sourcing agreements with suppliers.
The Team's responsibilities include managing SI Group's monthly end-product price calculation and communication process with customers, as well as improving the process by creating and building new automated commercial systems that integrate with Salesforce and SAP. The team also manages SI Group's acquisition of industry market data, analytics, and insight from external 3rd party providers, and collates industry and market data to provide updates, strategic outlooks, and guidance to the global commercial teams.
Main duties for this role include:
· Create Sourcing Analytics using system-based models to enhance the global efficiency of sourcing raw materials.
· Gather and analyse market information from both internal and external sources. Use this data to create commercial models that provide updates, strategic outlooks, and guidance to the global commercial teams.
· Benchmark sourcing performance against external market indices.
Candidate Requirements:
· Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering preferred, or quantitative/analytical discipline in Engineering, Business, Economics, or Information Systems
· Experience in the Chemicals or Oil & Gas industries is preferred, particularly in consulting, commercial, or engineering positions.
· Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Salary subject to experience
