RES/SME Hedging & Risk Business Partner (FT, PT, Jobshare)
Here's what you'll be doing
Location - Nottingham with hybrid working
Salary - £47,276 - £60,361
As the Business Partner within the Residential/SME Hedging and Risk team, you'll be working closely with the Commercial business, providing quality analysis on wholesale market conditions and regular forecasting of future Ofgem price cap levels.
Commercial Analytics - You’ll be working alongside the E.ON Next Commercial team to understand the competing priorities Residential and SME face, the commercial drivers of business performance, and evaluating the potential impacts on hedging and risk.
Hedging and Wholesale Market - You will also help evaluate alternative hedging strategies, maintain controls over the target hedge position and evaluate the wholesale market environment with reference to Ofgem’s market stabilisation charge while also delivering hedging instructions to the Forwards Optimisation team on a weekly & month-end basis.
Price Cap and Cost Reporting – You will be responsible for the maintenance of the models to prepare price cap forecasts for the Residential business, reporting of detailed wholesale cost information for Residential and SME commercial teams and involvement in consultations, RFIs and other Ofgem and BEIS requirements.
What we need from you
- Excellent Excel capability and analytical understanding.
- Understanding of dynamic retail environment and E.ON’s strategic goals within that environment.
- Experience in working across business boundaries to enable successful and thriving working relationships.
- Knowledge of wholesale energy markets and products used for risk management within them.
- Drive to understand the causes of and solutions to retail risks.
- Ability to translate complex subject matter and tailor for the audience.
