This post requires you to have well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
Previous experience in Fertility and /or Gynaecology would be advantageous.
Our unit is currently open Monday to Friday 0900 – 1700.

Knowledge and Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Registered Nurse Part 1, 2 or relevant section of the register
- Post registration qualification experience in Fertility or Gynaecology.
Desirable criteria
- Academic NMC recognised Teaching qualification or equivalent
- BSc or working towards completion of a degree
- Leadership course
- Mentorship course
- Research qualification
- Level 2 psychological skills training
- Advance Communications Skills Training
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of multi-professional working.
- Experience within Fertility/ Gynaecology
Skills and Abilities
Essential criteria
- Proven listening / counselling skills with the ability to manage complex situation and appropriately deliver sensitive and difficult outcomes.
- Evidence of teaching skills in particular teaching patients in how to manage their conditions and raise their awareness of their condition.
- Up to date knowledge of current clinical and professional issues.
- Sound knowledge of current issues in the profession and practice of nursing.
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal & communication skills
- Time management and organisation skills
- IT skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- The ability to manage stressful situations and in turn support others in stressful situations
