Under the direction of the Director, the Analyst will develop, implement, and provide technical support of the enterprise information repositories, including databases, data warehouse, and related applications. In this role you will responsible for assessing database and reporting requirements, develop, and implement data/document management and reporting solutions. The Analyst will ensure users and clients are advised of data and document management techniques and technologies.

Responsibilities:
- Analyze department requirements and recommend updates in database systems, reporting and document management strategies
- Work closely with Business Units to understand business needs and requirements to design and build solutions
- Collaborate with IT team to review and recommend system enhancements to meet corporate objectives
- Support business users and provide expertise with technical issues
- Generate metrics related to critical information, such as performance, variance, and analyses strategic, operational and resource allocation decisions and actions
- Interpret high level business needs into functional needs by understanding issue and determining data requirements
- Prepare reports synthesizing analytical results, highlighting implications of findings
- Maintain and update current reports
- Lead projects related to new systems/applications (focused on data collection, Business Intelligence, etc.)
- Advise, develop, test, and maintain specialized information repositories and related applications on the production system
- University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Intelligence, Information Management, or related discipline
- Degree in Computer Science with specialty in related field
- 3 years’ experience in Information Technology design and system implementation, working in a regulated industry and/or public utility
- 5 years’ progressive experience in Information Technology design and system implementation in a regulated industry or public utility setting
- Strong knowledge of the Project Management Framework. Project Management Professional Designation is an asset
- Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Dynamics, PowerPoint, Access, Team)
- Strong working knowledge of Python, JavaScript, VB, VBA Design, implement, and maintain tooling to assist with the querying of data
- Proficient with programs and tools such as Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Reporting Services Tools, as well as Business Intelligence solutions such as Oracle BI, Power BI, Tableau or Sisense
- Strong working knowledge of Azure Database and Power BI. Completion of Azure Database and Power BI Training/Courses, with a Microsoft Learning Partner is an asset
