The Role at a Glance
The Data and Reporting Analyst will provide functional expertise to strategically develop and implement future portfolio management tools/solutions on the Investment Data and Analytics team. S/he will be a key contributor to the strategic development and implementation of the overall analytical structure of investment data as well as provide subject matter expertise and direction to ensure departmental results for his/her assigned area(s). This position will also perform and deliver data/portfolio analysis, helping facilitate a strategic vision in preparation of presentations/reports with executive leadership team.
What you'll be doing
- Contribute to the strategic development and ongoing data and reporting needs for the investment team.
- Provide subject matter expertise with respect to data reporting and analytics to positively influence key internal stake holders on vision, architecture, and strategies.
- Identify, automate, and communicate process improvements that improve efficiency and quality.
- Communicate analysis and strategic vision of presentations to executive leadership team regarding the investment portfolio.
- Responds to data requests by independently selecting appropriate data/information, aggregating data, and developing visuals based on understanding of various assets.
- Collaborate with internal Investment team and external vendors to collect and manage large-scale datasets that support better investment decisions.
- Support the strategic direction to build and enhance the capability for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
- Supports and promotes change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.
- Engage with team members and/or management in developing recommendations to solve problem and issues.
- Perform and deliver on assignments/projects for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
What we’re looking for
- 4 Year/Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, economics / econometrics, accounting, finance or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's).
- 3-5 years of experience in data administration or business analysis that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position.
- Critical thinker with high attention to detail.
- Strong PowerPoint expertise and proficiency in Excel.
- Proficient in Tableau and/or Power BI development.
- Experience or understanding of API protocol, Python/R, SQL and Dataiku a plus.
- Understanding of database infrastructure with proven ability to improve data/information access
- Deep understanding of project management including, critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, and meeting deadlines.
- Hands-on experience collaborating with IT and across multiple key business stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Communicating reporting, analytics, and complex concepts to a variety of audiences.
- Investment experience or desire to gain a better understanding of financial markets
- Demonstrated track record of consistently meeting and/or exceeding performance expectations.

Pay Range: $65,700 - $118,300
Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
