Due to internal promotion, a further opportunity has arisen within the Property Department, for a repairs assistant to join our existing team and help us continue to meet our service and performance objectives and manage a busy workload.
- Repairs Assistant (Permanent)
- 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- EVH Grade 5 PA13: £27,440 – PA16: £30,495
The Repairs Assistant role will provide an effective and efficient support service to the maintenance team covering all aspects or repairs and maintenance, whilst helping to ensure a prompt and efficient service is delivered to the Association’s customers, including existing tenants, former tenants, potential tenants and owner occupiers.
Key responsibilities include, but will not be limited to, Reactive Repairs Line, Rechargeable Repairs, Pre & Post Inspections, Alteration and Improvement Applications, Void Properties, Factoring, Annual Gas Servicing, Insurance, Defect Liability and Tennant Participation & Customer Satisfaction.
Candidates will be educated to Higher Level or equivalent and will have previous experience coordinating technical activities including liaison with colleagues, tenants and contractors. They will have a basic knowledge of building construction and terminology and have a strong customer focus with the ability to problem solve and make decisions in a sometimes-pressured environment. Proficient IT skills, particularly working with spreadsheets & databases are required, experience using property maintenance software is desirable. Excellent administration skills with attention to detail is crucial. The preferred candidates will have excellent communication skills both verbal and written, have the ability to build strong working relationships both internal and external and have a flexible and conscientious approach to work.
