Are you passionate about renewable energy and making a positive impact on the environment? Are you looking for an exciting and challenging role that will allow you to use your technical expertise and communication skills to help clients secure funding for their renewable energy projects? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!
Your Energy Source is a growing company and a UK leader in renewable energy grant applications. Our aim is to make renewables easy; by ripping down barriers to increase the uptake of clean technologies.
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated consultant to join our team. This could be someone with a renewable energy background or someone who wants to make a switch from another industry.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
· Submitting renewable energy funding applications to the government, including Ofgem's Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) scheme.
· You will work closely with multiple clients to gather technical data and ensure that their applications meet the requirements of the scheme.
· Your duties will include liaising with installation companies and end users, calculating energy usage and performance, and processing gathered information into a coherent format that is Ofgem-friendly.
· You will be responsible for carrying out site visits across the UK to advise on technical compliance with government schemes.
For the right candidate, there are opportunities in more skilled tasks such as creating heat flow schematics, seasonal performance calculations or business development.
This is a customer and stakeholder-focused role, so excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential. You must also be competent with Microsoft Office packages, particularly Word and Excel, and have excellent organisational skills. The ability to work independently and prioritise workload, as well as manage high workloads across multiple projects and clients, is also crucial.
In return for your hard work and dedication, we offer:
· A competitive salary, with regular wage review and a bonus scheme available £26,000-£30,000
· Flexible scheduling and hybrid working (mix of in office and from home)
· A generous employer’s pension contribution that is regularly reviewed
· Annual holiday entitlement increased every year.
· Sick pay
· A structured learning and education pathway linked to your personal development
· Full mental health support package; counselling sessions, feedback and support opportunities
