Job description
Main Tasks
Reporting directly to the Director of Marketing, PR & Sales. Responsible for delivering a wide range of marketing activity and working with the director to implement the strategy that drives growth for the business and guides the marketing and PR activity. With specific responsibility for the digital marketing strategy and implementation for Blackpool Pleasure Beach and its brands and businesses.
- To create an annual plan of marketing activity for the various brands and businesses requiring marketing support.
- To prepare an annual and monthly digital marketing activity plan covering web sites, emarketing, social networking, pay per click media and paid social media. Including the execution of the plan without external agency support.
- To work with the Marketing Director and produce the annual marketing action plan in line with the strategic plan for the business.
- To plan and deliver a range of business driving advertising campaigns to support the brands and businesses. Including TV, Radio and Out Of Home
- To develop, build and maintain an online presence for the brands and businesses ensuring functionality is constantly reviewed and content is always relevant and up to date.
- To design and print literature to support brands and businesses.
- To assume responsibility for the CRM system, its use, protocols, training, support and compliance with GPPR.
- To design and produce marketing materials and presentations.
- To monitor and control the marketing budgets for your areas of responsibility.
- Maintain and update the corporate brand of Pleasure Beach along with clear guidelines for its usage.
- To ensure the Pleasure Beach brand and its associated brands are adhered to by both internal and external partners.
- To represent Blackpool Pleasure Beach at meetings and events when required.
- To work as part of a crisis PR/Comms team in the case of incidents requiring PR support and online/digital communication.
People
To manage the following members of the marketing team:
- Marketing Apprentice
- Marketing and Social Media Executive
To deal with representatives at all levels both within and external to the organisation.
To deputise for the Director of Marketing, PR and Sales when required.
General
Undertake, when necessary, any other duties required by management
A flexible approach to working hours is required to meet the often-changing demands of the business including weekend and evening work. To represent the marketing team at events and activities on park as and when required.
To adhere to all company health and safety regulations being responsible for your own health and safety and that of others, ensuring fire precautions and emergency procedures are complied with.
Ensure compliance of the company’s written standard practices and departmental procedures.
To undertake training and development as identified through the appraisal process or as directed by your director.
To act as an ambassador for Blackpool Pleasure Beach at company events, opening nights, exhibitions and functions including internal and external meetings.
