Tempest is an online privacy company which seeks to increase privacy and data security for all Internet users. Founded in 2019 by entrepreneurs Michael Levit and Sean Murphy, Tempest has built a portfolio of privacy products including a Tempest Search and Tempest Browser.
It also plans to expand its product range, ensuring user safety across every touchpoint online. With operations spanning 10 countries and 3 continents, Tempest is growing to become a global name in Internet privacy and protect millions of users’ data online.
We are currently seeking a talented individual to join our team on a part-time rolling contract for around 25 hours per week based on performance and business needs. This arrangement offers an excellent opportunity for flexible employment and the potential for long-term engagement. Locations
Tempest has offices in Ireland, France, Germany, Portugal, America and Singapore. This position can be located in the UK, France, Germany or Portugal. When applying to this position please share your preferred working location, candidates can be remote in these locations.

The Opportunity
Our company is seeking a highly motivated Social Media Manager to design, build and maintain the social media presence to Tempest to ensure that our objectives are met. The successful candidate will be responsible for building out the strategy and managing the day-to-day runnings of Tempests’ social media handles, influencer campaigns and online tech communities.
Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain the social media presence for Tempest across LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube
- Design and manage day-to-day engagement strategy around online tech communities such as Reddit, Hacker News and Product Hunt
- Develop and manage creator/influencer campaigns to drive product adoption
- Content and creative planning for social media planning
- Establish and promote deep communication and collaboration with social creators and brand ambassadors
- Understanding of influencer campaign landscape and social media
- Managing social posting schedule and working cross-functionally to develop content strategy
- Using a data-driven approach to review performance in a presentation-style and
What You Bring
- Exceptional writing, communication and presentation skills

- Experience with ad exchanges, affiliates, or native advertising
- Preference for experience using social media scheduling tools like Hootsuite
- Preference for passion and/or experience in the privacy and/or tech sector
