£30,000 - £36,000 + Bonus (OTE £60k - £70k)
Due to expansion and increased sales enquiries, we are looking for someone from an electrical or renewable engineering background to cost and design a variety of standard, complex and large Domestic and Commercial projects.
In this role you will be delivering high value enquiries from concept to order placement and supporting the transition to project delivery. You will be responsible for engaging with existing clients and developing new business through high levels of customer service, design and pricing estimation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide systems designs, costing estimates and a bill of materials for a range of Solar PV Commercial Rooftop, Solar Carports, Solar PV on residential new build developments, EV charging and Battery Storage projects using industry software such as PV Sol, PVsyst, AutoCAD .
- To meet and exceed financial targets and KPIs set annually with your Line Manager ensuring that these are accurately recorded in the CRM and against client segmentation.
- Working closely with the Project team to ensure all estimates are designed and costed in line with project specifications and following an effective handover process to enable project delivery.
- Produce accurate commercial quotations and technical proposals based on tender requests and technical commercial specification documents.
- Work on a wide range of interesting projects from 4kWp to 2+MWp.
- Provide case studies, subject matter expert advice, market research and information on market trends for blog and marketing production.
- Completing and reviewing Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQ) and tender submissions for new and existing business to ensure accuracy and commercial viability.
Skill/ Qualification Requirements:
- Knowledge of Solar PV advantageous - with a focus on commercial Solar - with a good working knowledge of EV Charging and Battery Storage Systems.
- Experience in selling, specifying and technically supporting renewable energy technology products and services is essential.
- Electrical knowledge / background preferable.
- A working knowledge of Air Source Heat Pumps would be an advantage - especially how they work together with Solar PV.
- Demonstrable experience of engaging with commercial clients to include M&E contractors, design consultants, architects, main contractors, end users and suppliers.
- Demonstrable track record of success producing commercially focused design and cost estimating.
