The Role
This is a consultative sales role within the commercial team, this role has been created due to growth within the organisation. Your focus will be around 2 specific sectors however:
Public Sector – You will be responsible for the delivery of decarbonisation schemes into public sector organisations including higher education. Public sector organisations have pledged to hit net zero by 2050 with many targeting it for 2030. There are numerous centrally funded grants made available. We have a proven track record of delivering schemes for the public sector.
Owner Operated business – You will be responsible for the delivery of low carbon technology installs to clients who own and operate the buildings. This client group typically has a greater vested interest with the overall running and maintenance costs of the buildings.
You will be joining an existing sales team who have already achieved 95% the sales target for deliverable revenue this year, and be part of the wider commercial team, which also includes a design team, project management team and procurement so you can rest assured that you will have the support of a team who are experienced in delivery complex projects.
This is an opportunity to join a rapidly growing company who puts social responsibility at the heart of what we do, every day is different, and you will be working on a large array of projects from domestic air source heat pump projects through to complex commercial water source projects.
The OTE for the position is £60,000.00, with a basic salary of £38,000.00+ dependent on experience.
The Person
You will be responsible for the customers whole sales journey along with the ongoing account management. As such we are looking for someone who is confident prospecting whilst also having the ability to close. Managing multiple long term opportunities requires someone with very strong organisational and time management skills. Due to the technical element of the role the ideal candidate will either have a background within Renewable Technologies, Building Services, HVAC, Physical Sciences or similar background.

Key Responsibilities
· Drive and manage the sales process across your given area.
· Identify new opportunities and additional opportunities from existing clients.
· Production of tender returns, Quotations, Estimates
· Reporting on sales performance and market conditions.
· Forecasting.
· Co-ordination with the delivery and design teams.
· Carrying out surveys and creating scope of work documents for the projects being worked on.
· Visiting site as necessary and carrying out site surveys as necessary to ascertain relevant information to ensure accuracy.
Skills and experience
· Experience within the renewable, HVAC, Building Services Sector.
· Proven track record in technical sales
· Excellent numeracy skills
· Excellent communication skills verbally and written
· Good IT skills – proficient in Microsoft products especially Excel and Word. Experience using Salesforce would be beneficial.
· Understanding of the wider construction industry would be advantageous especially requirements under CDM2015.
· Experience within solution-based selling to public sector organisations would be beneficial.
