Job description
Remote French and English speaking networking engineer available throughout the Rugby world cup matches - will be responsible for supporting the merchandise store managers.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to customers via phone, email, and chat
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues focusing primarily on Meraki and Aruba.
- Communicate effectively with store managers in French and English to provide timely solutions
This person(s) is more of a contingency; calm voice in the room if something drops offline
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of Meraki and Aruba networking technologies.
- Fluent in French and English
- Understanding of computer networking principles and practices
- Experience with Active Directory and network administration is a plus
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Familiarity with ticketing systems is a plus
Need to be same time zone, but not necessarily traveling to sites.
1 firewall & 1 switch at each location & each location had the gear deployed with the same automation
Each site has a POS & using solution/servers stored in Azure
Meraki virtual firewall; need to be skilled in Meraki and some basic network troubleshooting; troubleshooting VPN tunnels
If Meraki drops offline, this person is the escalation point
Good communication with other vendors utilized
Understand which end of the firewall is which
Pay is £ 50 per hour for in hours and out of hours work. This individual needs to be available throughout the entire RWC tournament.
