Role: Remote Services Support Technician Location: GHO / Home Working Hours: 37.5 per week Salary: £26,500 33 days holiday (including bank holidays). Our client are a large and growing national facilities management company who have a long-term facilities with one of the major national retail supermarkets. Job Purpose: To provide support to the Remote Services Manager in all aspects of the City remote connectivity infrastructure, ensuring that all work is carried out in an accurate and consistent manner. Liaise with field engineering teams, internal and external asset/remodel project teams to ensure all existing and new assets are correctly configured in the IoT system and are providing accurate data. Principal Accountabilities: Carry out the role responsibilities in a professional and pro-active manner Complete all aspects of site deployments as necessary, via the IoT platform Troubleshoot issues raised by the Technical Bureau in relation to alarms presented in the Alarm Manager Manage the IoT Gateway replacement/repair procedure Utilise PowerBI, and other software systems, to manipulate data in order to identify issues and highlight potential solutions Maintain electronic records in line with Data Quality procedures Provide input to identify new processes or features that will support the continuous improvement of the platform Plan and manage own workload in an efficient and effective manner Attend training courses as and where necessary to ensure personal job skills keep pace with technical developments Support the Technical Bureau Specialists by gaining and maintaining an elevated level of knowledge of current and future systems Represent the company in a professional manner at all times, and develop a good working relationship with all City colleagues, sub-ors and customers Deputise for the Remote Services Manager when required Comply with the company Health and Safety Policy at all times Comply with any other reasonable request or instruction from the Line Manager Key Response Areas: Site Configuration Deployments Alarm Issue Resolution Workload Management IoT Gateway Connectivity Electronic Documentation Criteria - Essential General Education Standard Grade Level in at least 5 subjects, including English and Mathematics Higher Grade level in English and a STEM subject Specific Knowledge MercuryIoT Alarm Manager Knowledge of Connected FM disciplines IoT Gateway connectivity checks Site software configuration and deployment tools Use of PowerBI reports/dashboards PowerBI Reports and Dashboards creation and management Utilisation of Microsoft Power Platform applications e.g., PowerApps Specific Skills Highly PC literate Ability to manage time and prioritise own workload Organisational skills Accurate data manipulation and configuration Previous experience of leading/managing others Demonstrated Behaviours Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills Helpful / friendly manner Strong analytical ability Inquisitive outlook Logical approach to problem solving Effective time management Self-motivated Successful engagement with third party ors to meet overall objectives Successfully engagement with field engineers and technicians to meet overall objectives To apply please submit full CV in the strictest of confidence to Yvette Harding at PDA Search and Selection PDA Search and Selection
