Job Description
Key responsibilities of this Remote Finance Officer will include:
- Recording day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
- Verifying that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, suppliers ledger, customer ledger and general ledger
- Bringing the books to the trial balance stage
- Performing partial checks of the posting process
- Completing tax forms
- Data entry, maintain records and create reports and financial statements
- Process accounts receivable/payable in a timely manner
- Assistance to the senior risk officer in the monitoring of corporate borrowers and internal reporting
- Various Ad-Hoc tasks in support of the senior risk officer
The Successful Applicant
The Successful Remote Finance Officer will have the following Skills and Attributes:
Essential
- Proven bookkeeping experience
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office
- Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Desirable
- Ideally some experience using Xero
- a finance role within an SME or (ii) a commercial finance or banking role.
