Job description
Job Introduction
Do you have the motivation and skills to support people with learning disabilities to live life to the full? Could you help someone to be independent and take part in the things they want to do? We're looking for people who can make a real difference to someone's life, attending to the small and personal details that really matter, each day, every day.
We are looking for relief support workers to cover for staff holidays, sickness usually with notice but sometimes at short notice for our services across East Sussex County.
These posts are particularly suitable for people who want to gain experience and training with plenty of flexibility - whether that's to study, fit in around family life, another job, returning to work after a break between jobs or just to get a 'foot in the door'. You may be asked to work on a pre-planned basis as well as covering for last minute absences within a service. It's entirely up to you whether you accept shifts.
We welcome applications from students 18+ years, people with life skills or with social care experience. You must be a good communicator, have the ability to work on your own sometimes in the Community and be able to interact positively and sensitively with people.
If you have the right values we can help you train to learn new skills.
Change your world and theirs
