RELIABILITY ENGINEER
Reliability Engineer needed for catalyst manufacturing plant in the Bayport Industrial area in Pasadena, Texas.
The role of the Reliability Engineer is to identify and manage asset reliability risks that could adversely affect plant or business operations and is primarily responsible for guiding efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, and controls. The role originates and develops analysis methods to determine reliability of components, equipment and processes.
Beginning with a new unit, the reliability engineer will be responsible to create the Reliability Centered Maintenance Program from the ground up. Determines the optimal method to maximize the reliability of the equipment and creates the maintenance plans to ensure its performance. Determines cost advantages of alternatives and develops action plans that comply with internal/external customer demands for reliable processes/equipment to avoid failures.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform all job duties in a safe, environmentally friendly manner to minimize incidents.- Support the efficiency, productivity, effectiveness and development of the reliability or maintenance technicians.
- Identifies critical equipment functions and works with team members to analyze data, recommend and implement procedures or other solutions that increase productivity and reduce costs.
- Works with project engineering to ensure the reliability and maintainability of new and modified installations. The reliability engineer is responsible for adhering to the life cycle asset management (LCAM) process throughout the entire life cycle of new assets.
- Professionally and systematically defines, designs, develops, monitors and refines an asset maintenance plan that includes:
- Value-adding preventive maintenance tasks
- Effective utilization of predictive and other non-destructive testing methodologies designed to identify and isolate inherent reliability problems
Create and maintain the Master Data within SAP PM and MM modules including, but not limited to:
- Task lists for preventative maintenance and routine repairs
- Maintenance plans, items, and strategies
- Materials, BOMs, and material management
- Equipment, measuring points, counters
Identify critical spares for equipment based on manufacturer recommendations, criticality, and Weibull analysis; maintaining all aspects of the spare parts process including:
- Creating material numbers
- Creating and updating BOMs
- Material stock levels and reordering process
Application of industry standards, both regulatory and RAGAGEP, to the maintenance and upkeep of the site. Calculating remaining useful life for fixed equipment including:
- Available operating window
- Corrosion rates
- Minimum thickness
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years related experience.
- Experience in reliability centered maintenance preferred.
- Experience in Process Safety Management, including Mechanical Integrity programs.
- Knowledge of industry standards including API, ASME, and ASNT
- Experience in nondestructive testing/evaluation
- Experience with lubrication, vibration, and infrared testing
- MS programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- SAP experience required (S4 Hana preferred).
