Job description
We are looking a reliability engineer to join our team of 10 passionate engineers striving to make continuous improvements.
Working in this automated distribution centre which has recently undergone 300 Million pounds in investment to the Automation you will be exposed to the latest technology & working with some of the best engineers in the business.
The role as a reliability Engineer
- Provide routine maintenance tasks on diverse systems and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to identify areas for CI and develop strategies to enhance system reliability, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Establish and maintain SOPs to institutionalize best practices and ensure consistent execution of maintenance activities.
- Develop and refine CI frameworks and methodologies to drive efficiency and effectiveness across the organization.
- Analyze existing workflows, identify opportunities for process improvements, efficiency enhancements, and cost reduction, and propose automation solutions.
- Support the implementation and optimization of the CMMS to streamline maintenance activities and facilitate data-driven decision-making.
- Optimize inventory management practices by implementing effective tracking systems, optimizing stock levels, and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
- Provide comprehensive training and knowledge transfer across shifts
- Occasionally provide reactive support to shifts, troubleshooting and swiftly resolving technical issues to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Proficient in Microsoft office applications
- Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship, ONC or equivalent qualification in engineering (BTEC, NVQ, C&G)
- Experience of working with automated material handling systems
- Ability to work at height
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a time critical environment
- Competent with H&S
- Effective time and workload management skills
- Basic salary £42,000 pa
- Monday – Friday 2 shifts, 6am-2pm 2pm-10pm
- £5000 annual bonus
