Relationship Support Analyst

We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Relationship Support Analyst.

The role assists Relationship Directors (RDs) in building relationships by identifying and meeting existing and prospective customer needs. This role is responsible for carrying out customer research, financial and credit analysis and helping the RD prepare for customer meetings. Other fundamental parts of the role include coordination of all credit applications, including undertaking pre approval tasks, primary and International account opening and risk escalation management. In the absence of the RD, the role holder will act as the focal point for the relationship, products and services.

This is a hybrid role with travel to the Fareham office or Reading office.

In this role you will:

  • Provide support to the RDs to enable them to optimise the potential value of client relationships, improve client engagement and deliver needs-based solutions and fair outcomes for customers
  • Enable proactive client management by attending client meetings with the RD as necessary, and acting as the first point of contact for customers on daily credit-related enquiries
  • Prepare appropriate analysis, proposals and presentations to prospective customers
  • Co-ordination of documentation, including the preparation of all credit applications
  • Undertake financial, credit and profitability analysis and prepare the credit application remarks
  • Collaborate with Group colleagues to deliver appropriate needs-based solutions for customers
  • Monitor credit risk, including credit control reports, and analyse management information
  • Provide ongoing risk monitoring in areas concerning Global Standards and Anti-Money Laundering & Sanctions alerts, and act as an escalation point for risk issue response
  • Ensure consistent application of Group Policy and adhere to regulatory, financial, and legal standards to minimise business and reputational risks
Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Commercial / Business experience is desired
  • Understanding of bank systems / processes – including Browser Main Menu, CARM etc
  • Understanding of business types and structures together with product/facility knowledge relevant to segment, to support team in appropriate and fair outcomes for clients both existing and new, and delivery of strong customer satisfaction scores
  • Basic understanding of Financial Accounts, sufficient to develop ability to interpret, analyse and assess credit risks
  • Understanding of HSBC credit risk appetite as it relates to the segment and understanding of Financial Crime Risk policies
  • Strong organisational skills with ability to work under pressure
  • Good written and verbal communication skills enabling productive and clear dialogue with customers and stakeholders
  • Ability to quickly build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships
