Job Description Summary
Responsible for supporting clients within the SME portfolio with all their banking needs including lending, deposits and a wide range of other services. Alongside this there is an expectation to grow the portfolio so you will be promoting the bank with professionals and key influencers to develop new business opportunities and bring more clients to Lloyds Banking Group. As well as this you will be responsible for managing the risk and compliance of the portfolio.

Would you like to work within our SMC Business and help Real Estate businesses to prosper by offering the funding, support and encouragement they need to grow? An opportunity exists for a SME Real Estate & Housing Relationship Manager within our SMC business where clients will typically have borrowing requirements of £1m+. You'll have a portfolio of approximately 100 Real Estate clients largely within the Merseyside, East and North Lancashire area.
Joining the Real Estate Team, which forms part of the North West Region within Commercial Banking, you'll be responsible for supporting clients with all their banking needs including lending, deposits and a wide range of other services. There is an expectation to grow the portfolio, so you'll be promoting the bank with professionals and key influencers in the local community to develop new business opportunities and bring more clients to Lloyds Banking Group.

What you'll be doing:
- Providing excellent service to our clients, putting them at the heart of what you do, making valuable contributions at every interaction and becoming a “trusted advisor”
- Being seen as the “go to” Real Estate banker in your geographic area of responsibility. Maintaining a high profile with external influencers and the local business community to achieve our aim of being the best bank for clients
- Providing a range of funding solutions to our clients from our Term Lending product range tailoring them to Client needs
- Building relationships with Group Partner companies and through them bring the whole bank to the client delivering products to meet their needs
- Handling the risk and compliance of your client portfolio
What we'll need from you:
- Results focused – You'll take personal responsibility for delivering results, whilst readily accepting change and utilising a growth mind set to focus on client outcomes
- Growing market share of Clients & Lending - Highly proficient at building and maintaining positive relationships with external professionals and adept at winning good volumes of higher value new client relationships
- Providing outstanding knowledge of clients - Uses specialist credit and sector knowledge along with all available digital tools to deliver excellent client experiences whilst identifying ways to grow income, balance sheet and market share and managing associated risks
- People – Having a growth mindset and be keen to adopt and use key tools that improve the client experience and demonstrate the value a Face-to-Face Relationship Manager brings to a client’s business
- Environmental Awareness - Promotes the bank’s image through strong ethics & integrity across a range of clients, prospects & professionals
