Relationship Manager
Brentwood
As a Barclays Relationship Manager, you will be at the centre of our organisation, managing a portfolio of Mid Corporate customers. You will have the exciting opportunity to be the force to lead the customer agenda both internally and externally, ensuring the customers’ complex needs and expectations are exceeded. You will be liaising with all key stakeholders with the prime focus of developing increased revenue for our customers and Barclaycard.

What will you be doing?
- Proactively visiting and having strategic discussions with portfolio owned clients a least 4 times per annum
- Developing and maintaining relationships with key contacts within the client’s business e.g. MD, FD etc. and be able to resolve a wide range of queries
- Owning and managing the creation and regular review of Client Account Plans for all clients, including input from Product and Credit
- Ensuring that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements and Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework
- Providing information on a customer’s business via research using various sources e.g. Trade journals, broker reports, Internet, media etc
- Developing, monitoring and maintaining good working relationships with all Group Partners and accompany them on Client visits
- Preparing and supporting the Relationship Directors in delivering presentations to clients, prospective clients and KBI’s
What we’re looking for:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all stakeholder levels
- Exceptional relationship management and interactive skills with experience in achieving credibility and building solid client relationships at all levels
- IFS Diploma in Business Banking & Conduct or Omega Credit Skills Development (CSD) within 12 months of starting in role
- Ability to adapt, influence and prioritise in a fast-paced environment
Skills that will help you in the role:
- Experience and knowledge of the Bank’s products, services ad policies
- Some understanding and awareness of complex corporate products, debt structure and conduct risk
- Previous experience and knowledge in the use of the Global Pricing Tool for both debt and transactions
- Knowledge of income, RWA, pricing
Where will you be working?
The Brentwood office is located in the heart of Essex, in the centre of the town’s busy high street. A short walk from the station with good links into London and easy accessibility by road being close to the M25, A12, and A127.
