RELATIONSHIP MANAGER / HYBRID - LONDON / PERMANENT / UP TO £72K PLUS COMMISSION AND BENEFITS
WEX Travel provides a virtual payment solution to help IOTAs, TMC’s and other Travel companies save money on international payments, reduce accounting workload and improve supplier relationships.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Relationship Manager to join our Travel and Corporate payments division. This is a permanent role to join a successful and established team.

Key Responsibilities of the Relationship Manager
- Achieve portfolio targets in spend and revenue by managing and growing existing and customer base.
- Work with internal stakeholders such as Commercial Finance & Credit to develop ‘Deal Sheets’
- Understand the customers business and offer solutions to solve their problems.
- Contractual negotiations
- Maintain and develop formal customer plans.
- Maintain salesforce with accurate records.
- Hold remote and F2F meetings with clients where necessary (including international travel where required) to strengthen relationships and grow WEX share of wallet.
- Liaise with and co-ordinate between internal departments to ensure customer and WEX needs are met.
- Publicise with clients and business networks about WEX’s thought leadership in the Travel & Corporate payments markets and help to maintain our market position.
Skills and experience required
- Graduate degree on business or related subject.
- Minimum of two years in a relationship or account management role – which was exposed to financial services (payments solutions) and / or travel businesses.
- Strong experience and skill set in contract negotiation and reporting skills.
- Strong numerical skills.
- Proven experience of working to and exceeding KPIs and Targets
- Competent and confident in group and individual presentations
- Understanding of KYC and compliance & credit processes
- Exceptional networking skills and the ability to establish and develop professional relationships
- Previous experience / knowledge of business travel sector
- Although not essential it would be of an advantage if fluent in one or more of the following languages – French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch or Swedish.
