This is for a segment B Relationship Manager within the North West Region with turnover typically between £3m - £10m. The role covers, in the main, the North Wales to Chester / Shropshire border.

Joining a team which forms part of the wider North West SME & Mid Corporate team within our Commercial Bank, you'll be responsible for supporting clients with all their banking needs including lending, working capital solutions and a wide range of other Group and partner services. There is an expectation to grow the portfolio so you'll be promoting the bank with professionals and key influencers in the local community to develop business opportunities and bring more clients to the Group.

This role is an integral part of the local market, developing business opportunity, and representing the group in the professional community. You'll be an ambassador for change, an early adopter of tools designed to improve the client and colleague experience and support your wider team and region to achieve their objectives.
What would you be doing?
  • Providing excellent service to our Clients, putting them at the heart of what you do, adding value at every interaction and becoming a ‘trusted advisor’
  • Promoting the bank with professionals and key influencers through your knowledge of the local market and sector specialisms
  • Providing a range of funding solutions to our clients from our Term Lending and Working Capital product range, tailoring them to Client needs and managing associated risks
  • Building relationships across the Group, and with our Partner companies, and through them bringing the ‘whole bank’ to the client, delivering products and services to meet their needs
What we need from you:
You'll demonstrate experience and knowledge of the following:
  • Results focused – You'll take personal responsibility for delivering results, whilst readily accepting change and utilising a growth mindset to focus on client outcomes
  • Client - Highly proficient at building and maintaining productive relationships with commercial clients and external professionals
  • Specialist Knowledge - Uses specialist credit and sector knowledge along with all available digital tools to deliver excellent client experiences whilst identifying ways to grow income, balance sheet and market share, whilst at all times ensuring the effective management of risk
  • People – Have a Growth mindset and be keen to adopt and use key tools that enhance the client experience and demonstrate the value a Face to Face Relationship Manager brings to a client’s business.
  • Environmental Awareness - Promotes the bank’s image through strong ethics & integrity across a range of clients, prospects & professionals
