About the role
As a Rehabilitation Officer, you’ll be part of a dedicated multi-disciplinary team within our rehabilitation services. These centres are designed to support individuals with all aspects of their rehabilitation and care programs following either a discharge from hospital or admittance from the community. Each service provides 24-hour care for planned, unplanned and emergency stays. In this highly rewarding role, you’ll create a positive, caring and stimulating environment that meets every resident’s needs.
The goal is to make sure residents enjoy fulfilling and dignified lives – and you will play a big part in that. Guided by care plans and risk assessments, you will help them with personal care and medication, leading shifts as the Officer in Charge and supervising rehabilitation assistants. Our residents will be relying on you to give your best, so we’ll make sure you get expert support and training.
About you
As well as an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification, you’ll have hands-on experience of working in a care setting. With this background, you’ll be used to administering medication and helping individuals with personal care. Practical and positive, you’ll manage your own workload and work as part of a team. With every opportunity to learn, you’ll also be keen to develop and take our service from strength to strength.
You’ll join us on a shift basis, which will include every other weekend as required.
We are happy to discuss your requirements around weekend working at interview. You will be eligible to claim for enhanced payments for weekend working.
Please note that you must be flexible enough to help out at other locations.
