In a nutshell
As Regulatory Reporting Assistant Manager you’ll be responsible for supporting the Reporting Manager in the delivery of accurate and timely financial and regulatory information, and the ongoing monitoring of capital adequacy and liquidity for the Bank. This includes being actively involved in implementation projects linked to regulatory and financial reporting developments. You will also support the wider Financial Control team in the delivery of monthly internal reporting and the preparation of annual Pillar 3 disclosures and statutory accounts.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Financial Reporting professional that is looking for that move into the world of Regulatory Reporting, where you will get exposure to all areas of Regulatory Reporting, experience of change projects initiatives and gain experience in working for a Retail Bank.
What you need to do
- Timely delivery of accurate regulatory reporting submissions (COREP, FINREP, Bank of England, etc) for the Bank, maintaining existing high standards and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Ongoing analysis of capital and liquidity reporting metrics, providing accurate and insightful analysis to senior management.
- Maintenance of robust processes and controls in relation to reporting, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Assist in the implementation of changes to reporting in line with changing regulation.
- Support the wider Finance department through the delivery of reliable information for inclusion in internal reporting packs, often to tight deadlines.
- Assist in the preparation of the Bank’s annual financial statements and Pillar 3 disclosures.
What you need to know and show
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant (depending on experience).
- Financial reporting experience (gained in industry or practice).
- Experience of the financial services industry would be beneficial (but not essential).
- Exposure to regulatory reporting in the banking sector would be particularly valuable (but, again, not essential).
- Highly numerate, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong PC skills, with an emphasis on Excel.
- Well organised and able to prioritise workload in line with tight deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
- Excellent team player with ability to working closely with others to deliver results.
- Strong relationship management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
