dnata Travel Group, part of the Emirates Group, includes the brands of Gold Medal, Netflights, Travelbag, Travel Republic, and Sunmaster.
We are now recruiting for a Regulatory & Control Analyst who will be a key member of the financial control team, providing support on strong financial governance and control. Provision of regulatory information is a key aspect of the role, as well as working with our brand Finance Business Partners to provide best-in-class balance sheet control.
This role is a hybrid role, working 3 days per week in the office and 2 days remotely
Job Accountabilities
- Support the Management Accountants to assess each balance sheet, determine it is cleanly reconciled, has a clear owner and in getting balance sheets to a clean position
- Implement a standard look/feel to balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist in conducting an intensive mini audit of balance sheets ahead of group reporting/statutory audits
- Assist with regulatory reporting for regulatory renewals and bonding submissions
- Prepare draft statutory accounts documents
- Communication with external auditors around year end statutory and group reporting requests
- Work with Internal Audit in validating controls, support the Financial Controller in implementing additional controls where self-assessment identified a gap
- Support the writing of a consolidated UK Group Controls and Policy Manual
- Work with Financial Controller in using the Authority Matrix to assign authority levels and implement and maintain this within our systems
To be considered for this role, we need you to have the following skills, experience and qualifications:
- ACCA/CIMA/ACA part-qualified
- Previous experience of working in a large diverse team
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft products essential.
- Good knowledge of key balance sheet areas including but not limited to prepayments, accruals
- Excellent communication skills
Desirable
- Month end reporting and balance sheet reconciliation experience
- A proven track record in working towards continuous improvement.
- Working knowledge of the travel industry areas including revenue recognition and key trading balance sheet areas e.g., Trade Debtors, Deferred Revenue
