The core task of this role is to register marriages and civil partnerships, carry out all related duties and responsibilities in compliance with the Registration Acts.
Conduct statutory and non-statutory ceremonies at registration offices, religious buildings and approved premises across Lancashire.
Advise members of the public and partners on all matters relating to the registration service
Deal with all registration corrections, respond to face to face, telephone, online or postal enquires and submit all weekly/quarterly returns within the stated timescales.
You will
- Have the ability to use own initiative
- Have the ability to assimilate detailed procedures; organise workload and work accurately under pressure.
- Have excellent communication and digital skills
- Be able to work with a range of partners,
- Be able to deliver a customer focused service
- Have the ability to travel to and from various venues across the county
This is a permanent post based at Burnley Registration Service. The hours for the post will be 416 annualised hours which will be utilised 'as and when' required and the salary will be pro-rata.
