About the roles….
We have vacancies for 2 Registration Officers, ( working 37 hours per week) and we are looking for enthusiastic and motivated people to join our team. You’ll be responsible for
- Registering births and deaths
- Conducting ceremonies (Weddings, reaffirmation of vows, baby naming etc)
- Supporting British Citizenship Ceremonies
- Issuing certified copies of birth, death, marriage, and civil partnership certificates
- Supporting customers with enquiries across all communication channels

A bit about Gateshead Council…
The Registration Services Team are responsible for the registration of Births, Deaths, Marriages and Civil Partnerships and undertaking British Citizenship Ceremonies. The team are there for the residents of Gateshead in the best and worst times of their lives, we aim to support them through the registration process.
