Patient Access Representative – Patient Access – Part Time

The Patient Access Representative serves as the patient’s main point of contact and the face of the NewYork-Presbyterian\Queens organization while scheduling patients for visits, tests, and admissions, registering patients when they arrive, screening for medical necessity, and obtaining necessary pre-certifications and authorizations. These tasks must be completed with an emphasis on both accuracy, to ensure payment from third parties, and customer service, to foster a positive patient experience.

This is a Part-Time (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) 11p-7a including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Criteria

• Associates degree
• Bilingual Spanish/English strongly preferred

Required Criteria

• High school diploma or GED
• One year of customer service experience
• Experience using electronic health information systems for registration and scheduling
