About us
At Cinque Ports we do things a little differently. We asked our fabulous nurse team what their favourite things are about nursing with ‘the Cinque Ports difference’ and these are their replies:
‘I love the fact that the patient journey is overseen by a registered veterinary nurse from admit, pre meds to recovery and discharge’
‘We have reliable monitoring equipment including capnography for all GA’s’
‘We have the time to spend with those nervous patients, we use lots of social clinics, we use fear free handing and chemical restraint where necessary and we never, ever scruff cats!’
‘It the little things like having a calm, quiet, cat waiting area - cat ward. The cats are never anywhere near any dogs and there are plenty of cat castles, roomy kennels and lots of Pet Remedy’
‘We use multi-modal analgesia with pain scores. We even use local anaesthetic for our neutering's as standard.’
‘We treat every patient as if they are our own and we are all on the same page, we use freeze spray or EMLA for blood and cannulas to make it as easy as possible for our patients.
‘Our standard of care is on a referral centre level, but we are a close knit team with a family feel and no out of hours’
