Registered Veterinary Nurse

Registered Veterinary Nurse Diss, England

CVS UK Ltd
Full Time Diss, England 10.56 - 12.04 GBP Today
Job description

Are you looking for your ‘forever' practice? We have a fantastic opportunity for a positive, motivated, RVN to be part of our team at Linden House. This position could also suit an experienced SVN about to qualify.

We are offering both full time (40 hours) and part time (16 or more), let us know how these hours might look in your week. You will also be required to work 1:4 Saturdays on a rota basis, either as paid or with a time off in lieu (your preference).

You will join a forward-thinking, friendly practice of 3 vets, 6 RVNs, 2 PCAs and 3 receptionists. We love doing what we do and we crack on when needed. This job is hard enough some days though, so we like to have a laugh and debrief with regular meetings; often with a Costa trip, a takeaway or a quiz! We are a loyal team with half of the staff having been here for 8 years+ and we've added some excellent newer staff as we've grown.

The practice has the ISFM silver award, aim to be fear-free with our dog handling and also see chickens, rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, hamsters and hedgehogs! As well as the standard theatre work and daily inpatient care, our RVNs have their own consult room and run a wide variety of clinics all day, which are very popular with our clients.

If this sounds like fun to you (and it really is!) we would love to hear from you.

CVS is committed to improving Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI). We want to be the company most people want to work for and that includes all the wonderful, diverse people, all who have something valuable to give. In the last year we have reinvigorated our CVS EDI Committee and created five Colleague EDI Groups with focuses on Ability & Neurodiversity, Ethnicity, Gender, LGBTQ+ and Social Mobility. Our focus is on making CVS a great place to work and to have a career for everyone, no matter who you are, your background, or how you identify.

As our newest team member you will also receive the following benefits:

  • Competitive salary up to £27K dependent on experience (pro rata for part time)
  • Up to 7 weeks annual leave plus Bank Holidays (or equivalent) with our Buy/Sell holiday scheme - allowing you to purchase an additional two weeks of annual leave - pro rata for part time
  • Company pension
  • Funded and fully encouraged CPD
  • Enhanced maternity/paternity/adoption pay
  • Employee assistance programme
  • Access to Mental Health and wellbeing champions, over 300 across CVS.
  • Colleague discount on pet products and treatments
  • Access to our Share save scheme allowing you to buy shares in our business
  • RCVS and VDS fees covered
  • A range of other benefits such as Cycle to Work, Perkbox, Gymflex and more!
