Job description
Within your role, you will provide the necessary leadership for all staff within the nursing team. You will maintain high standards of care, safety discipline and morale.
You will participate in the delivery of care and in conjunction with the Manager, implement policies and procedures, and monitor the care to ensure the defined standards and objectives are being achieved.
Overview of your duties:
- Comply with the Home Policies and Procedures.
- Introducing prospective clients to the Nursing Home
- Organising the admission, discharge or transfer of patients
- Keeping up-to-date with new techniques, procedures and equipment and encouraging staff to do likewise.
- Keeping the Manager informed of changes and reporting specific matters of importance relating to the prescribing, storage and administration of medication.
- Direct supervision of the work of Care Staff and actively participating in the delivery of nursing care
- Ensuring that the educational needs of all staff are communicated to the Manager.
- Communicating and cooperating with medical and paramedical staff regarding the care, and treatment of patients and ensuring that all treatments and instruction are carried out.
- Any other duties as may be deemed necessary by the Home Manager.

Essential Criteria:
- Registered Nurse on Part 1 of the NMC Register – RGN or RMN (Adult)
About Beverly Lodge
MD Healthcare acquired the home in August 2019 and has been substantially upgraded to improve the environment for the residents. Beverly Lodge is a dementia nursing home equipped to care for 45 residents. The home is a calm environment that is conducive to well-being and mood enhancement with themed areas throughout the home for therapeutic activity.
