Restful Homes Group – Asprey Court Care Home, is currently on the lookout for Day Registered Nurses (RGN/RMN/RNLD) at our beautiful home based in Sutton Coldfield.
Our Care Home provides 86 spacious bedroom suites providing the highest quality of care to older residents of Birmingham, and the surrounding areas who require Residential, Nursing, Dementia and Specialist Dementia care with associated behaviours that challenge. We also cater for older people with enduring Mental Health needs.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the delivery of care and for the supervision of others who are carrying out all aspects of the caring process. They will assist in setting and maintaining standards of care and will participate in maintaining effective management of the team and home and working alongside Care Assistants.
To act as person in charge, to stand in for the Manager/Deputy as required and observe all instructions and ensuring high standards of care to residents in line with company policy & Registration. Shift times 8pm to 8am
Job Responsibilities -
· Assists with the assessment of nursing care needs
· Plans, delivers and evaluates individual care/treatment plans in consultation with resident’s, their relatives and the Care Team
· Conducts risk assessments with due regards to residents, visitors and staff
· Supervises care staff in the delivery of high standards of care/treatment to achieve planned goals.
· Participates in care staff supervisions and reviews and assists with the induction and orientation of new care staff
· Act always in line with NMC Code of Professional Conduct & maintain registration requirements.
· Maintains the safe custody, administration, dispensing and storage of medication according to the NMC administration of medication
· Participates in clinical / quality / continuous improvement processes
· Ensures professional integrity and accountability, working at all times within the Nursing and Midwifery Councils ‘Code of Professional Conduct’ and any other service-specific Codes of Practice E.g. Mental Health Act
