Job description
Five year Nursing Apprenticeship in Mental Health or Learning Disability Nursing leading to BSc (hons) degree and NMC Registration.
Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne & Wear NHS Foundation Trust is delighted to offer a new, five year registered nursing degree apprenticeship programme opportunity as an alternative to a traditional university route. Successful applicants will meet the minimum entry requirements of the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) of 112 UCAS points and will be earning an annual salary of £20,669 in the first year, rising to £21,730 years 2-5 Inc. over the five years of study.
All university fees are paid by the organisation, adding to the attractiveness of achieving a first level degree and leading to professional registration at zero cost to the individual.
The degree level nursing apprenticeship has been in place for three years to support staff already employed within CNTW and we are now widening out this opportunity to individuals who wish to develop a career in nursing but by an alternative route.
If you meet the entry requirements, have aspirations of being a registered nurse and you embrace new ways of studying and gaining experience combined with a working life and a steady income, applying for this opportunity could be the best decision you will ever make.
Successful applicants will complete three months of paid employment with CNTW prior to the commencement of the apprenticeship programme to gain practical work-experience and real-life hands-on experience of nursing.
