Job description
The Sister/Charge Nurse is accountable and responsible for the twenty four hour care delivery and management of the Coronary Care Unit. The Sister/Charge Nurse will promote and monitor safe and effective
practice, enhance the patient experience, provide effective leadership and management and contribute to the delivery of the Trust/Divisional objectives.
Responsible for leading and coordinating the clinical, managerial and educational requirements of a defined clinical area, ensuring adequate systems are in place to support continuity over 24 hour/7 day period.

- Maintain a high standard of care and give courteous reception to all patients and visitors.

- Practice in a cost effective and cost aware manner
- Be fully conversant with the trust major incident plan, and ensure that all nurses within the department understand the procedures and actions.
- Ensure and maintain a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors
- Take responsibility for patients property and valuables according to Trust policy
