Responsible for a team of junior nursing staff. Supervisory responsibilities for health care assistants, assistant practitioners and student nurses To be responsible and accountable for the nursing care of designated named patients from admission to discharge Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills to effectively assess, plan, deliver and evaluate individualised care pathways To ensure the effective and efficient use of resources To contribute to the maintenance of the service aims, objectives and philosophy Correct documentation of patient care using the endoscopy unit care pathway including written discharge and aftercare information for patients Accurate traceability records of equipment use, decontamination and maintenance Reporting of clinical incidents
