Job description
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
This is a fixed term post for 2 years
The hours are worked Monday to Friday.
To provide clinical expertise, knowledge and skills in the promotion and maintenance of optimum health for adults with learning disabilities and complex health needs.
To operate as a practitioner within a learning disability team providing person centred health care.
To improve knowledge and awareness of issues impacting on adults with learning disabilities, and appropriate action to support clients.
The delivery of clinical interventions and treatment to meet the clients assessed health care needs.
Liaise effectively with community and specialist organisations (including acute, local authorities and voluntary organisations).
Responsibility for the implementation of quality assurance systems within a Clinical Governance framework.
You should be a;
- Register Nurse 1st level – RNLD
- Professional/clinical knowledge acquired through training to diploma HE or degree level or equivalent.
- Newly qualified nurses who can evidence appropriate pre-registration experience.
- Evidence of post registration educational development where appropriate.
