NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
The shift pattern for this post is 5 days, 8.30 – 4.30 .
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual, to join our Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) Team currently based at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH) with a remit for QEUH, GGH, BOC and NVACH, but will be required to work with other IPCTs within NHSGGC. The post holder will work closely with the Senior Infection Prevention and Control Nurse to assist with the delivery of the sector IPC service on all matters relating to the prevention and control of infection by providing strategic direction and advice to NHSGGC. This requires the post holder to have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team in challenging healthcare environment.
The successful candidate will be able to evidence relevant training, education and experience. They will be educated to and/or operate at Degree Level and willing to undertake a Post Graduate qualification in Infection Prevention & Control.
The IPCT are currently looking at trialing a condensed working week therefore this is something that may be considered.
