What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Assessing and monitoring patient conditions
  • Checking symptoms and vital signs and arranging diagnostic tests
  • Displaying excellent analytical ability and sound decision making in changing clinical situations
  • Working as an effective team member and promoting team and interdisciplinary relationships The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above.

You’ll have the following qualification/experience:

  • A minimum of 6 months paid experience in an Acute hospital environment within the last 3 years.
  • Comply with NMC Professional Registration and keep up to date with current nursing practices.

The Role:

This role is for an experienced Band 5 nurse to cover wards at Meadowbrook.

Cover the ward:

- Act as nurse in charge

- Complete medication rounds

- Support patients with their physical health needs and escalate any concerns where appropriate

- Delegate skills as the shift co-ordinator to appropriately trained staff

- Receive and complete handovers

- Document notes, update care plans and risk assessments as required

- Complete admission documentation and process where required

You’ll have the following qualification/experience:

**ILS PMVA BLS can be provided by Trust if necessary** plus induction

· A minimum of 6 months paid experience in an Acute hospital environment within the last 3 years, experience in Adult Forensics desirable.

· Comply with NMC Professional Registration and keep up to date with current nursing practices

· Ensure accurate records are kept in accordance with CHS policy and NMC guidelines

· Undertake regular mandatory training*

*Depending on the Trust, you may require variable additional certification and skills.
