To be responsible for assessment, planning, implementing and evaluating care for patients who require treatment of Dermatology conditions in Secondary and primary care settings. To promote a high standard of Dermatology clinical care both in primary and secondary cares by empowerment through coaching teaching and facilitating. In the absence of the Outpatient Sister, to co-ordinate and manage Dermatology clinic activity through resource management and staff development.
To lead and participate in nurse led audit ensuring a high standard of research bases nursing care is achieved. The post-holder will assist in the development of the intermediate clinic for the whole health community, this to include nurse led community Dermatology clinics. Accept direct referrals from other health care professionals, carry out full assessment of patients and reach valid, reliable conclusions, which manage risk. Manage a patient caseload and make appropriate referrals to others.
Provide audit and statistical information regarding the services provided.
