Little Sisters of The Poor are a religious order and registered charity organisation, who have been in Newcastle for over 150 years. Through their dedication and commitment we provide a high standard of care to 56 elderly residents.
We are looking to recruit a passionate RGN Nurse to join our friendly, well organised and supportive team. You must be flexible with regards to your working hours, and be able to support residents and staff in emergency situations, using a wide range of nursing skills, whilst making sure you follow the policies and procedures.
We would love you to have previous care home experience, however, if not, we will happily support you as long as there is a willingness to learn.
Reporting to and supporting our clinical lead, ideally you will have some knowledge of the elderly and a understanding of the care planning process, as this will include writing up extensive care plans which is a essential part of delivering a high standard of holistic care.
What we do ask is that you have excellent communication skills, as you will be liaise with external agencies and third parties and build effective relationships with residents families.
Working hours are from 8.00am - 16:00pm or 13:00pm- 21:00pm, working this shift pattern over 5 days out of 7, enables you to overlap with another nurse on duty to to ensure your get your lunch break, be able to update paperwork and to support each other.
