Job description
We are seeking some enthusiastic, highly motivated nurses ideally with at least six months experience in an acute setting, with a commitment to team working and a keen interest in continuous improvement. Experience in an endoscopy setting would be an advantage, but full training will be given to nurses from different areas.
Endoscopy is an exciting place to work with new procedures and equipment being developed all of the time to improve the patients journey and experience. You will provide care for patients from admission to discharge within the Endoscopy Unit. You will also work within the rooms as we provide a vast range of procedures including diagnostic and therapeutic work. Our work sometimes takes us out of the unit and you will need to be adaptable when the need arises.
Endoscopy provides a great environment for learning. All nurses will complete a bespoke induction programme which will be tailored to your specific needs. Once completed, you will be expected to participate in the cross-county on-call rota providing out of hours emergency care. Following induction you will be able to undertake a number of specific endoscopy courses in line with your ongoing development programme.
Internal applicants are welcome to have an informal meeting and discuss potential internal transfer. Please contact the unit for more information.
