Job description
We are looking for a driven and knowledgeable Digital Marketing Assistant to help grow our eCommerce business by managing our Amazon and OnBuy selling platforms, working with our manufacturers and external marketing agencies, and ensuring that our online presence is always relevant and up to date.
A self-starting, driven individual, to work within a small, highly functioning team, who’s goal is to continue to develop and recognize the full potential of a business with an already prominent position in the industry.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Ownership of Amazon & OnBuy shop:
· Ensuring listing details are up to date
o Liaising with manufacturers re changes to existing products, EOL products, new products.
o Images, descriptions, and pricing
· Adding and removing products
· Maintaining stock levels
o Marking products as out, or in stock
o Ordering stock from manufacturers
o Negotiating FBA agreements with manufacturers, approved by Sales & Operations Manager.
· Price comparison against competitor listings
· Reporting
Maintaining our website
· Ensuring listing details are up to date
o Liaising with manufacturers re changes to existing products, EOL products, new products.
o Images, descriptions, and pricing
· Adding and removing products
· Adding, removing, and changing product and information pages
· Maintaining stock levels
o Marking products as out, or in stock
· Price comparison against competitor websites
· Analyzing functionality and marketing strategies against competitor websites
· Deliver regular site updates ensuring accuracy including but not limited to creating and changing existing website pages, liaising with our web developer, approved by Director
· Reporting
Ownership of all social media channels
Liaise with our Marketing team to enhance PPC, organic traffic, SEO, and utilize google analytics.
Answering incoming calls
Assisting with out-of-stock orders where required
Highlighting any product issues reported by customers
Liaise, influence, & build relationships with the wider ecommerce/marketing/sales teams to ensure effective support of online objectives.
Provide ad-hoc support/cover for the wider ecommerce team
Skills and experience required
- Use of WordPress
- Basic knowledge of Amazon seller platform
- Google Analytics
- Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets
- 1-2 years eCommerce experience
- Proactive and deadline driven – a self starter with excellent organizational skills
- Detail orientated
- Flexible and able to multitask – ability to adjust to work processes or procedures, adapt to others, work effectively and in a positive manner when under pressure or in ambiguous situation
- Creative flair and understanding of eCommerce best practice
- Eagerness to learn and develop a career in eCommerce
- Can do attitude and a willingness to learn and ‘muck in’ to help colleagues in ad-hoc tasks and when required
Skills and experience required but not necessary
- Quick Books experience
- OnBuy seller platform experience
- Business social media experience
- Microsoft 365
The current role is a permanent position however hours and salary will be determined by successful candidates experience and expertise.
Commission will be available based on progress and contribution to online traffic.
Job Types: Part-time, Full-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 32 per week
Salary: £20,000.00-£24,000.00 per year
