Job description

Nurse Maternity Cover

Are you seeking a role where you can combine your nursing assessment skills, compassion and professionalism? Then experience General Practice as it should be! Only 10 minutes from Norfolk’s Champagne Coast. We advocate a healthy work-life balance and more time with your patients building relationships and continuity of care. We are looking for a locum nurse to help cover maternity leave, assisting the on the day duty team in managing a group of patients providing clinical skills which include communicating with them, assessing their immediate and future care needs, and providing specialist clinical knowledge to aid their recovery and enhance their well-being.

The wide range of clinical activities seen by nurses in primary care means that you will be exposed to a diverse range of nursing specialisms: urgent medicine, orthopaedics, paediatrics, oncology, bariatrics and cardiac to name but a few. We have no mandatory weekend or night shifts so you can plan your life outside of work around your working week.

With a diverse and experienced multidisciplinary team around for support, doctor first triage and a fantastic administrative team in place to help streamline workloads, you can really focus on what truly needs your attention.

We are a training practice for Registrars and have students from both UEA and Cambridge University. Investing in our people is top of our priorities and have created a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. To enhance relaxation and team well-being we organise activities such as away days, yoga sessions, lunchtime walks, beach running and regular coffee “reset” times.

As a nurse at FMP, you will see that putting patients first and maintaining the highest clinical governance standards are our top priority. Our nurses understand that what they do at work makes a real positive difference, so they take pride in the highest clinical standards.
