Job Description:
As a Level 2 Qualified Practitioner at Applegarth Day Nursery, you will play a key role in the daily operations of our nursery, ensuring the well-being, safety, and development of the children in your care. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Creating and implementing age-appropriate activities and lesson plans that support children's learning and development.
2. Observing and assessing children's progress, identifying their strengths and areas for improvement, and communicating with parents/guardians about their child's development.
3. Providing a safe and caring environment where children can explore, discover, and build positive relationships with peers and adults.
4. Supporting children with their personal care needs, such as feeding, diapering, and toilet training, while promoting their independence.
5. Collaborating with other team members to ensure a cohesive and engaging curriculum and maintaining a tidy and organized classroom environment.
6. Upholding the nursery's policies and procedures and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards at all times.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following criteria:
1. Hold a Level 2 qualification in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent) and possess a thorough understanding of the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) framework.
2. Previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable.
3. A warm, caring, and patient nature with a genuine love for working with children.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
5. Dedication to providing a stimulating, safe, and supportive environment for children to thrive in.
6. A proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning and professional development.
