Arla Foods is recruiting a Regional Sales Optimisation Executive to cover our Top 4 Food Retailer accounts based in the Glasgow and the surrounding areas on a part time basis (22.5 hour contract.) In this role you will report to the Sales Optimisation Controller.
Day to Day Role
- To optimise & drive incremental sales growth, across Arla Brands & Private Label products, by gaining additional Stock Orders / Fixture Space / Secondary Sitings,
- Helping facilitate the world class execution of new product launches,
- Maximising in store & on-shelf availability and promotional compliance levels, whilst providing the business with key information / insights (competitor & Arla Brands) that can only be gathered by being in store
Responsibilities
- Demonstrating true territory management, you will help plan and organise a personal sales strategy by maximising the return on time investment for the territory that you are responsible for
- Analysing territory potential and determining the value of existing and prospective customers to the organization, you will establish, develop and maintain business relationships with customers in order to generate incremental sales for Arla products.
- Capturing a series of data whilst in store which will include availability, promotional and merchandising compliance, you will identify and address any issues in relation to these matters, spotting and delivering sales opportunities.
- You will be required to communicate to store colleagues through a variety of methods including formal presentations, when significant sales opportunities, marketing campaigns and NPD is launched.
- Building and providing constructive feedback to stores on issues identified during your visits, you will take any required actions needed, providing Arla with industry leading insight into in store activities, processes and opportunities for growth.
- You will monitor your own performance against targets, achieving agreed targets on KPI's, achievement tables and distribution / traitings targets of Arla products.
- This role requires the successful candidate to have a car, and full clean driving license.
Key Skills
- This role would be suitable for someone with experience of working in one or more of the Top 4 food retailers, ideally in a managerial role or as a Territory Field Sales Representative.
- You will be highly self-motivated and results orientated with the ability to deliver within time scales, whilst being an effective communicator who is capable of building strong working relationships both internally and throughout your assigned territory.
- You will have competent IT skills, including the use of Microsoft Applications, Outlook and Social Media.
Why this Role?
The successful applicant will have total ownership of a Territory (3 of the Top 4), that they will be fully empowered to manage, aided by daily store & product data reports (PowerBi), combined with their local knowledge of each store and the potential sales opportunities they have identified, in which no two days are the same.
The applicant will be given a comprehensive induction and training in the specifics of the role, have the use of a Company Car (Business Mileage paid for) a phone, laptop and iPad.
