An opportunity exists for a Regional Sales Manager within Lorient reporting to the Sales Director - UK and Europe.
The primary objective of this position is to:
Manage and develop business with accounts across a defined geographical territory (North of England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Ireland. Key verticals to include Door Manufacturers, Distributors, Architectural Ironmongers, HVAC, M&E, Architects, and Specifiers, to agreed targets.
Key responsibilities and duties are to:
- Through field sales activity, manage and develop closer relationships with existing customers and actively seek new business opportunities and areas for development for Lorient products, and services.
- Arrange regular visits with customers and key decision makers, maintaining regular contact or as requested by the customer.
- Oversee any activity carried out in relation to the customer, especially in conjunction with the Internal Sales team.
- Follow up by telephone or visit qualified sales, marketing, technical and project leads forwarded by the Internal Sales team, with the objective of maximising sales and opportunities within area of responsibility.
- Attend and contribute to regular sales meetings.
- Be integral to the sales forecasting and budgeting process, ensuring that figures supplied are researched and produced on time.
- Use CRM, to complete visit/activity reports on the territory accounts as appropriate.
- Achieve budgeted (as a minimum) product revenue, margin and other defined KPI’s.
- Achieve required brand and product market share.
- Maintain a close link via research and customer contact with market place issues in order to identify threats and opportunities.
- Ensure that an effective working relationship is maintained with the Internal Sales team by daily liaison with personnel.
- Ensure any opportunities or suggestions for product development and/or bespoke solution projects are presented to the Sales Director prior to progression.
- Work closely with the Sales Director, external and internal sales & operations teams to maximise sales opportunities in specific product areas, markets and projects.
- Complete a detailed quarterly review for submission to the Sales Director by the fifth working day each new quarter.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have advanced sales and negotiation skills.
- Be a good commercial acumen.
- Be IT literate with good understanding of Microsoft Office.
- Be degree qualified or relevant experience.
