There are 4 roles nationally, these will be divided into South, West, North and East of the country. Although we are flexible in our approach frequent travel is required for this role covering large areas.
About the Role
This Regional Processing Manager reports directly into the Processing and Engineering Director. You will be accountable for the successful creation and deployment of the strategic performance improvement plans for the end-to-end process design within the Delivery Operation. You will be expected to drive sustained performance improvement of our processes through coaching utilising 5F and continuous improvement practises.
You will work in collaboration with key stakeholders across operations, acting as a technical business partner to the operations team.
A Key facet of this role is driving cultural change within the operations community, focusing on fostering an innovative climate amongst their teams, developing not only performance improvement of our operational processes but our people, ensuring people develop to sustain the change. This role holder will need to be a key influencer, able to coach, challenge and drive growth across all levels of the organisation.
You will lead your team to design, implement, manage, and improve the overall performance of the Delivery Operating System within your region. Influencer and driver of Process & Efficiency improvements as well as innovation that can lead to greater process cost savings.
You will also
- Create and drive strategic plans to meet the Delivery strategy and standards which underpins business KPIs, and ultimately is aligned and delivers the overall Delivery and Collection vision.
- Develop influential and collaborative working relationships with senior operational teams and our unions, focused on driving sustained performance improvement at each of our Delivery Units.
- Develop a culture of continuous improvement and innovation at all levels to drive the processing revolution, embed new ways of working and drive cost benefits within Delivery.
- Lead / support problem solving and workplace standards in a disciplined way through the cadence, holding teams to account on any failure to adherence to standards
To truly excel in this role, you will possess, and be able to evidence, the skills and experience listed below:
- Experience managing Senior stakeholders and driving a high-performance culture setting goals and accountabilities for your team
- Change management skills creating environment for innovation and creativity, establishing the value of ideas and change initiatives and drives continuous improvement
- Ability to engage at all levels using personal presence and “storytelling” to articulate and translate vision into maintenance strategies, demonstrating clarity in thinking and using inspirational communication experience
- Expert knowledge of complex logistics or manufacturing/ processing organisations
- Detailed knowledge of lean principals and the ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of the use of lean tools and techniques.
- Knowledge of cost versus risk and change management theories to develop and deliver strategic change and business performance
- Able to coach in process technical, financial and process subjects to enhance the skills and understanding of your team.
- Engagement and consultation Interfacing with senior CWU/CMA representatives.
- Able to conduct detailed data analysis, apply systematic problem-solving techniques, and effectively priorities available resources

Next Steps
The next stage of the selection process will be a face to face interview consisting of competency based, a 10 miniute presentaion and role specific questions. We plan to hold interviews on W/C 21st August either in the Midlands Super Hub or London Office whichever is closest to you.
