We are pleased to announce this incredibly exciting opportunity to be part of Qatar Airways Regional Cargo Operations team as a Regional Manager Cargo Operations in our office in Europe.

In this role, you will be responsible for the smooth cargo operations in Europe through close coordination with GHA’s and staff within the stations in Europe. You will continuously monitor and develop adherence to regulations outlined by local authorities and regulatory bodies and ensure strict compliance to IATA regulations for the effective movement of inbound and outbound cargo, whilst reducing the operations costs involved.

As part of your role, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Regional responsibility for all safety, security, operational and performance matters in the EU region.
  • Manage cargo operational performance of all SGHA through effective SLA management at all stations.
  • Constantly monitor the cargo handling in his/her region and suggest to the cargo HDQ best practices to be implemented within the region to achieve operational excellence.
  • Maintain the freighter on time performance and ensure no delays occur due to ground operations throughout the delegated region.
  • Implement, establish and monitor standard operating procedures (SOP) and Service Level agreement (SLA) with the SHA’s in the region to ensure smooth cargo operations in the region.
  • Establish the department / team’s objective and priorities to align with and support business objectives as well as train and develop employees to ensure succession planning is in place.

Qualifications

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with minimum of 8 years of job-related experience within the airline, logistics, transportation, or freight forwarding industry, managing cargo operations
  • Excellent spoken and written English skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple, time- sensitive deliverables and competing priorities
  • Ability to lead and work extensively with cross- functional teams, in a faced- paced working environment
  • Excellent persuasion and influencing capabilities
  • Strong stakeholder management
  • Ability and dedication to work with data, drive digitization and innovation and promote change management
  • Have the current legal right to live and work in Europe
