Are you seeking to enhance your career and join us on our journey as our new Regional Logistics Manager on a Permanent basis and make your mark with a globally renowned organisation in the rail sector? This role will be covering our London and South East sites. The Regional Logistics Manager is a key integral role within Alstom UK&I. This is a great opportunity to work for a global company with great responsibility in managing all the Logistics teams across 10 Alstom operational sites.
What That Means Day To Day
Your role will involve taking care of the design of physical flows and their execution and contributing to the creation and best practice for AIR Values, Vision, Strategy, policies and procedures to support all Supply Chain activities across the UK and I. Your duties will also involve to:
- Design Supply Chain processes vs Industrial requirements.
- Define subcontractors’ requirements.
- Define Vendors' requirements regarding logistics.
- Define warehouse layouts, its internal flows and storage policy.
- Define line feeding layout and associated kitting.
- Manage Material Receipt.
- Manage Stock Entry.
- Manage Picking and Kitting & Line Feeding.
- Manage Packing, Shipping and Outbound Transportation.
- Manage Inventory Accuracy & Integrity.
- Identify Needs & Define Requirements for Internal Standards, Define, Improve & Validate Internal Standards, Manage Internal Standards Deployment.
- Manage Jobs & Skills, Training & Qualification, Workforce, Staffing & organization.
- Collect Monthly KPIs, Manage Improvement Action Plan, Review Monthly KPIs.
- Ensure operations are executed in an environment that complies with Alstom Health, Safety and Environmental policies.
- Project Mobilization / Demobilization.
- Site Logistics Cost Reduction.
Who We’re Looking For

- Experience of working within a supply chain, logistics, transportation, and warehouse/store environment
- Relevant business/commercial degree is preferred, HND, BTec Professional Level 5 award or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of IT systems including Microsoft applications, SAP, and various online portals.
- Strong knowledge of kaizen techniques and delivering projects.
- Able to work away from home/base location as required by the company.
- Understanding of Vehicle maintenance Instructions.
- Understanding of Technical Parts lists and Bills of Materials
