Job description
We are recruiting on behalf of our client to expand their Business Development Team - a well established Further Education and EdTech provider for a Regional Business Development Manager, one for the North and one for the South, the role is home based with travel to client sites withing the candidates region.
To contribute to the growth plans for the companies ;earning technology division by overseeing the business development team, growing and maintaining the customer base within the learning technology industry.
Key Responsibilities
· Contributing to and executing the sales strategy for the Tech Business Development Team
· Help to manage, mentor and develop a small team of BDMs and BDEs – ensure productive and efficient pipeline creation and conversion
· Hitting individual and sub team sales target
· Developing and maintaining key relationships with tech customers and new large prospective customers
· Working in conjunction with operational teams to ensure five-star customer experience
· Creating and implementing core processes with the team and wider business
· Responsible for your own lead generation and contribution of ideas for inbound marketing leads
· Contributing to performance forecasting and budget planning
· Conduct weekly one-to-ones with direct reports, ensuring best practice is adhered to on a day-to-day basis and manage poor performance where necessary
· Creation of management reports to enable Head of BD and Director of BD to assess your team’s performance vs. KPIs
· Responsible for real-time reporting via CRM and constantly looking for efficiencies within sales processes or operational functions
· Act as an ambassador, living our values and behaviours and developing a culture of performance and values within the team
Salary
£40,000 - £45,000 basic plus uncapped commission - the current average commission is around 2.5k per month
